  • With Q264 light power tied down on the siding, B740 approaches MP64 with four orphan auto racks for the EBSR.<br /> 11/21/2019

  • Conductors delight......NOT!<br /> The NECR yard at Palmer was plugged, with both railcars and snow.<br /> 12/4/2019
  • CSX called in the big guns - the Snow Jet - to clear snow and ice from switches.<br /> 12/4/2019
  • The Snow Jet put on quite a show upon startup....and LOUD...YIKES!<br /> 12/4/2019
  • Once it was at full RPMs, the jet is angled down to clear the switches.<br /> 12/4/2019
  • In just a few minutes, the Snow Jet has melted and blown away all the ice and snow and debris and even some ballast from around the switch.<br /> 12/4/2019
  • This is a long telephotos shot from down in the yard and shows why you never want to get close to the business end of the Snow Jet - the amount of debris it moves is very impressive!<br /> 12/4/2019
