NECR train 603 on the yard lead into the CSX yard.

  • 264 Light power then picked up the UP unit so again it would be the trailing unit when heading west.<br /> 5/20/2018
  • CSX train Q020 runs main to main at MP64 where the single track goes to double. The other track is the controlled siding where the EB&S handles auto racks at the trans load facility.<br /> 5/20/2018
  • NECR 3850 eases across the diamond at MP83 as CSX crews continue work installing the new cabanas and signals.<br /> 5/24/2018
  • CSX train B740 eases off the main onto the controlled siding at MP83 with a short train.<br /> 5/24/2018
  • At MP83 in Palmer MA, CSX crews continue working installing new signals with the eye towards PTC implementation. New cabanas have been installed and now they're setting new signal masts. This was an interesting process - where conditions allow, instead of excavating, setting a footing and pouring a concrete base they use a heavy cylindrical casing with helical flanges at the bottom and this is simply drilled into the ground like a giant screw. Casing, foundation and mounting surface all in one - pretty cool!<br /> 5/30/2018
