  • Since there continues to be a traffic drought on CSX, I spent a few hours on the B&M yesterday in Gardner, Ayer and at the construction site at Wachusetts. Peeking out from behind a line of racks in the Gardner yard was GATX 9014. Unknown if it was going to, or coming from the P&W. 5/20/2016 - 598C8158dK

  • The surprise of the day was train 23K sporting two NS units and a UP leader coming up the hill under the new signal bridge at Wachusetts. Earlier in the day, this same consist was being used for switching in Ayer as AY-1. 5/20/2016 - 598C8326dK
  • Under showery skies, Amtrak 184 leads train 449, the Lake Shore Limited, through the lush Spring foliage along the S-curves at MP60 in Spencer, MA.<br /> 6/5/2016 - 598C8751dK
  • I spent yesterday on the B&M from Gardner to Wachusetts to Ayer. The day started with train 287 easing out of the Gardner yard under the ancient signal bridge at Parkers - CPF 346.
